Good Afternoon AFMGA Golfers,
The Golf Course has informed me that the driving range will be closed tomorrow for maintenance, they apologized for the inconvenience.
We have entered the mid season and a few items to address. As a reminder top 7 teams in each division reach the playoffs, with the top team getting a bye in the first round. At this time we have had one rainout and the requirement to be eligible to play in the playoffs will be 4 times (subject to change).
Pace of Play. We all understand the golf course plays slow with a full league but there are actions we can all take improve the pace of play to the best of our ability. Remember ready golf, if you are able to hit while others are waiting for the group in front of them or they are looking for balls, please feel free to hit your ball. Same goes with tee shots if you have the box but the other team/players are able to hit please allow it. On the back 9 the grass is growing and getting tough to find balls, please remember 3 minute rule for looking for balls. With the long grass/weeds it is very difficult to find and/or hit, my suggestion is if you don’t find it within 1-2 minutes you won’t be able to get a swing on it, please drop a ball (suggest not playing balls you don’t want to lose).
